Day 19 - Unproductive, Yet Profitable

Yesterday(I'm writing this on Saturday, Day 20) was one of those days where I just couldn't seem to get going, and literally all I did was a few Yahoo Answers, and apply to a new CPA network. An awful showing really, I know I can do much better.

Despite such an unproductive day, I had the most profitable day of the challenge so far. 2 CPA sales at $40 each - an $80 day. That's the second most I've ever made since I've been doing IM - the most was $82 back in September. I'm very happy about it, and it takes the challenge total to a little under $300, at $296. To be honest though, the feelings of satisfaction are mixed in with feelings of disappointment.

The disappointment is in myself - during the this challenge, I've probably only put 50-60% of the effort in that I know I can, and should. Whilst I've earned all the money I've made this month through work and effort, I know I should have made more. This actually in turn makes me feel optimistic though - because I know what mistakes I've made, what I haven't done and what I need to do from now on.

Take the CPA sales I have made - the main offer that has brought the sales is converting at 3%. Not terrible, but not great either. I'm lucky in that I'm getting 20-30 organic visitors to the site I promote it on every single day. It seems this particular offer is hot at the moment. I'm with 3 very good CPA Networks, and I'm only selling one offer, that converts at 3%. I have the know-how and resources to be promoting say 5 other offers that maybe don't bring in as much per sale, but that will convert at a higher percentage. I do have some offers scattered around some other sites, but I'm very disorganized when it comes to them.

I know how to rank sites high in the search engines, I know how to drive traffic with articles, I know how to build lists....and on and on. I should be making considerably more than I am. This weekend, I'm going to really take a look at the things I'm doing, and the things I'm not doing. I want to finish this challenge strongly. It's unlikely I'll reach my goal, but I want to at least make a couple of hundred in the coming week.

I sound obsessed with money don't I? I'll just say here, that if you are in doubt - providing value to visitors and customers is VERY important to me, and I think that has played a big part in a change in my results($0 for 6 weeks, $400 in the next 4 or 5).

I might have a little surprise almost right at the end of this challenge too. I'm not going to say what it is(it's not strictly IM, but technically IS making money online)but if it comes off, it will give me an extra $177. This came from a hunch I had on literally the first day of this challenge, and an extremely small investment.

I think I'll be listing some sites on Flippa next week too - I'm completely new to this, but I think the last week of this challenge is a great time to get my feet wet with it. I'm very optimistic about a couple of the sites too. Overall, I'm very optimistic about week 4.
