According to The Focus Master, I did 2 hours and 15 mins of work today. Way short of where I should be, but I actually got quite a lot done in that time - mostly article submissions and SEO stuff.
I made a CPA sale for $36. It's a similar offer to the $40 one I keep mentioning, and is underneath it on the site I promote them on. It took only 3 clicks today to convert, yet compare it to the other offer yesterday that didn't convert even after 21 clicks. It's disappointing, but I believe over time things will level themselves out.
For the keyword phrase I am getting all the traffic from, I now hold 6 out of the top 7 spots on Google - made up of the main site, articles and press releases. Strangely though, all the clicks come from the main site - I guess they find what they want there, especially with it holding the number 1 position.
For a bigger keyword phrase it is slipping down the rankings though, and I can't really figure out why. The number 1 spot is held by a social bookmarking entry, but number 2 is held by an authority site. I looked through all the backlinks this site and saw nothing too impressive - a few article submissions, some blog comments, a couple of web 2.0 properties. A total of only 40 backlinks show up. It seems quite a lot of the work I have done in the last week(press releases, web 2.0's, article submissions) is yet to be indexed. My site shows 30 backlinks.
Not a lot else to report really - I have put together some PLR articles I am either going to completely rewrite or use as an autoresponder series in another niche. Time is ticking though, I'm going to have to really get my act together to make some money from that niche before the end of this challenge.
I'm a little worried about my state of mind at the moment when it comes to this challenge. I'm still motivated, but I'm happier with my progress so far than I should be. Maybe it's because I'm now making money online pretty consistently - I've done so on 11 out of the 15 days. Quite a difference to early December when I hadn't made a cent/penny for 5 weeks. I think I know that even if I don't reach 1k(which is looking increasingly unlikely), I have made some great progress. By my standards, the $176 or so I have made in the last 15 days is pretty good.
I do believe in myself, but I find it hard to push myself that extra mile that would maybe make the difference between a couple of extra hundred a month to a few thousand a month. I'm learning all the time though. I know I'm going to get there eventually, but it's going to take something pretty special to do it during this challenge. I believe I have it in me, it's just a case of whether I can tap into it.
