Day 11 - Falling Short Yet Again, But A Couple Of Positives

I'm really tired so I'm going to keep this one quite brief. After almost a year since venturing into the IM arena, I created and uploaded my first ever squeeze page today. Why has it took me so long? Good question. I've had opt in boxes on sites, but just never bothered to create a specific individual page to collect names and E-Mail addresses. It was during those painful 5-6 weeks of not making a penny that I decided I really needed to work harder at building lists.

My wife helped me a little with it, and I'm really pleased with it. It's for my main niche, and I am going to test it out starting tomorrow - hopefully it will bring some new subscribers.

I submitted an article to Ezine Articles for the first time in 4 or 5 weeks today. It was approved within hours too, and after it's first 10 views has a 50% CTR. I'm very happy with that - I did a different kind of resource box than I usually do and it seems to have worked nicely. No sales or subscribers from it yet though. Now this article is live on there, I can start distributing the other 19 spun versions at other directories and web 2.0 properties. I made sure the EZA one was extremely unique compared to the original on my site, in fact it was 92%. EZA editors can be picky with things like this, so I made sure to give them a really good version of it. I plan on submitting a lot more to them too - I still do like EZA a lot.

I did a few other SEO things, but again my overall productivity was well short of where it should be. I did around 2 hours and 45 mins work. That is atrocious for someone trying to make 1k, and I know it. I have to really come through in weeks 3 and 4.

That's all for now, I'm looking forward to tomorrow and hope I have some good stuff to report at the end of it.
